Now you can provide your graphic designer with your own color palette, using Adobe Labs’s Kuler. Kuler makes creating a color palette easier than you can imagine. Hell, you may even find yourself having fun with it!

If you’re just starting a business, you know the necessity of bootstrapping and doing a lot of the work yourself. And you know how expensive graphic designers can get. You do want graphic designers’ expertise, but you don’t want to pay them for things that you can do on your own.

The Kuler interface lets you choose different base colors and modes on which to base you colors. All you have to do is click on a color wheel and start dragging around until you find something to start with.

It really does get fun. You’ll find yourself going, “Ohh…” every now and then as you click on the different options and tweak the colors. It’s cool to see the vision in your head come alive on your screen.

Kuler is free and is available at kuler.adobe.com.

Note: I had problems using Kuler recently because I didn’t have the latest version of Flash. If you get a blank screen, you may need to upgrade as well.
