Wasted cycles

When you feel like screwing around on the web, you should be syncing your wasted cycles with your customers'. Here are a few ideas.
A lot of people have their places to go on the Web to screw around. There are times that they don’t want to be bothered with responsibilities, so they create their own content or pursue their own passions. This often happens during the work day.
Some people like posting stories on Digg. Some write blog posts on LiveJournal or WordPress. Some post to Twitter. Some do all of the above on Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn.
Where are your customers hanging out? How can you talk to them in these places without being annoying?
What are you doing with your wasted cycles? I feel that everyone should have a project that they chip away at. Something big and seemingly unattainable. Why don’t you chip away at writing blog posts, creating an expert wiki on your site, writing a newsletter, or even commenting on others’ blogs, tweets, and diggs?
